Park Cheolwoo, the newly appointed Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, is arriving at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on November 21. Regarding the recent controversy over the prosecution's decision to forgo an appeal in the first trial of the Daejang-dong development corruption case, Chief Prosecutor Park stated, "I fully understand the backlash from members of the prosecution." Concerning suspicions that he was involved in the decision to forgo the appeal, Park said, "A lot of inaccurate information about me has been circulating."
