"Turning Back the Aging Clock"... 2025 Cheongsong International Reverse-Aging Forum to Be Held

Can the dream of not aging become a reality through science? Scientists from around the world have gathered in Cheongsong, North Gyeongsang Province, in search of the "Fountain of Youth."

From November 24 to 25, Cheongsong County, in collaboration with North Gyeongsang Province and the AI Reverse-Aging Research Institute at Daegu Catholic University, will host the "2025 Cheongsong International Reverse-Aging Forum (International Reverse-Aging Summit 2025)" at Sono Belle Cheongsong.

This forum is the core international event of the K-U City Reverse-Aging Project led by Cheongsong County. It will bring together leading global scholars in reverse-aging from countries such as Germany and Hong Kong, as well as domestic researchers and major companies in the reverse-aging, AI, and bio industries, to share the current state and future of reverse-aging technologies.

On the first day, keynote speeches will be delivered by world-renowned scholars such as Adam Antebi, Director of the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing in Germany, and Professor Zhou Zhongjun from the University of Hong Kong. This will be followed by sessions featuring experts from KAIST, the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology, DGIST, and other academic and industrial institutions, who will present key research achievements and the latest technology trends.

On the second day, in-depth sessions will be held under the theme "AI for Reverse-Aging," covering topics such as AI-based analysis of natural substances for reverse-aging, digital healthcare, cellular reverse-aging technologies, and strategies for establishing reverse-aging industrial complexes, integrating academic, industrial, and policy perspectives. In addition, there will be lectures for the general public on "Reverse-Aging in Everyday Life."

Through this forum, Cheongsong County plans to validate, together with domestic and international experts, the results of reverse-aging research utilizing Cheongsong apples and local agricultural specialties, as well as the industrialization potential of functional foods, cosmetics, and bio-materials using AI-based analysis technologies. The county also aims to build a corporate network to accelerate the formation of a reverse-aging industry ecosystem in the region.

Furthermore, in connection with the reverse-aging research complex currently under development in Deok-ri, Cheongsong-eup, which is scheduled for completion in 2027, the county plans to establish a "Reverse-Aging Wellness City" model that integrates research, industry, and residential spaces. This initiative is expected to improve living conditions for young people and revitalize the local economy.

County Governor Yoon Kyunghee stated, "The 2025 Cheongsong International Reverse-Aging Forum is the first global event where world-renowned authorities will visit Cheongsong in person. This will be a significant milestone for Cheongsong County, enabling it to become a leading hub for the reverse-aging industry not only in Korea but also on the global stage. By fostering a new future industry that combines pristine nature with scientific technology, we will create a sustainable city that supports regional development and encourages young people to stay."
