According to the province on November 20, the event is co-hosted by Jeonbuk Province and Iksan City, and organized by the Jeonbuk Content Convergence Agency and Jeonbuk Technopark. Industry, academia, and research institutions such as the Korea Electronics Technology Institute, Wonkwang University, and Kiel Institute, as well as local hologram companies, are participating to share technological achievements and the industrial foundation.

This year’s expo, under the theme 'HOLO WAVE: The Wave of Light Illuminating the Future,' showcased Jeonbuk's hologram industry ecosystem-centered in Iksan-to local residents, and presented a new industrial vision that merges technology and culture.

The opening ceremony featured large-scale hologram exhibitions, a VR drawing show, and a hologram magic show, combining technological prowess with performance content.

The exhibition hall included sections such as the Major Companies Hall, Hologram Time Hall, Horror Hologram Exhibition Hall, and Jeonbuk Leading Companies Hall. More than 20 companies participated, presenting a wide range of immersive technology products including hologram displays, XR content, and smart devices.

The experience zone offered hands-on programs such as hologram kit making, media painting, and an AR stamp rally, making it easy for families and young visitors to participate. There were also photo zones and a pop-up store for goods.

In addition, a networking program involving technology companies, research institutes, and universities facilitated practical exchanges for industrial expansion, including discovering collaborative models between companies, joint research, and demonstration projects.

The province plans to use this expo as an opportunity to further enhance hologram technology and business support, aiming to develop the local hologram industry as a future growth engine.

Shin Wonsik, Director of the Future Advanced Industry Bureau of Jeonbuk Province, stated, "Jeonbuk has steadily strengthened its industrial base by promoting hologram technology development, demonstration, and business support centered in Iksan. Moving forward, we will actively foster AI, XR, and hologram-based virtual convergence industries as new growth engines for Jeonbuk’s future."
