The Daejeon Tourism Organization successfully concluded the "2025 Daejeon Fair Tourism Planner Training Program" on November 18, aiming to discover fair tourism programs and nurture planners.

This training program was designed to foster a deep understanding of fair tourism, as well as practical skills in program planning and operation, with the goal of developing sustainable fair tourism initiatives and nurturing planners. A total of 18 carefully selected participants completed approximately 22 hours of coursework.

The curriculum included ▲case studies of successful fair tourism both in Korea and abroad ▲the current status of fair tourism in Daejeon ▲practical training in promotion and marketing. In particular, a hands-on practicum where participants directly planned and operated fair tourism programs was included, with an emphasis on strengthening field-oriented competencies.

The final stage of the training, the "Fair Tourism Program Planning Presentation," featured team project presentations and expert evaluations, resulting in three outstanding teams being selected and awarded. Experts in the field of fair tourism participated as judges, providing practical feedback.

One graduate of the program remarked, "I learned that fair tourism is not just for tourists, but a process created together with local residents," adding, "I want to design programs where Daejeon citizens can actively participate and help promote the charms of our region."

Kim Yongwon, President of the Daejeon Tourism Organization, stated, "Graduates will be given additional points when applying for next year’s fair tourism programs, as we plan to focus on the sustainability of the project," and added, "Through this, we will continue to discover creative tourism content based on local resources and further establish Daejeon-style fair tourism as a brand."
