A total of 25 business leaders from Korea participated, and according to the list of companies, Nota was the only startup representing the AI sector.
Nota has steadily expanded its presence in the UAE market. In November 2024, the company formed a partnership with ATS, a UAE transportation infrastructure company, and in April of this year, signed a contract with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority to supply a generative AI-based intelligent transportation system (ITS) solution.
Through this roundtable, Nota established a bridgehead for expanding the reach of its intelligent transportation system solutions in the UAE. The company discussed expanding the application of the intelligent transportation system solution, for which it completed a contract with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority this year, to a broader scope next year. Additionally, Nota held discussions with the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport to actively pursue next-generation intelligent transportation system projects.
Nota developed its intelligent transportation system using the "Nota Vision Agent (NVA)," a video surveillance solution that applies generative AI technology in an on-device environment. The system contracted with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority detects road hazards such as traffic accidents, fires, and falling objects, and provides contextual information, enabling personnel to obtain meaningful information in real time.
Cha Myungsoo, CEO of Nota, stated, "By leveraging Nota's lightweighting and optimization technologies, we aim to drive ITS innovation in the UAE and, furthermore, lead the intelligent transformation of transportation, cities, and industries across the Middle East, setting a new standard for AI cooperation between the two countries."
Meanwhile, Nota plans to use its NVA technology to develop on-device AI solutions optimized for industrial safety and smart city sectors, and, building on this foundation, to lead public and industrial infrastructure innovation throughout the Middle East.
