KOSDAQ-listed company Atom announced on November 19 that it was officially registered as a first-tier (1st Tier) vendor for a global finished vehicle parts manufacturer in October, marking a shift in its electric vehicle (EV) core parts business from the preparation stage to direct entry into the global EV market.

At the same time, Atom completed the construction of automation facilities at its production subsidiary in Vietnam, establishing a mass production system that enables immediate response to the expansion of EV clients and large-scale supply.

Atom secured its first-tier vendor status by passing quality, process, and technology evaluations with the global finished vehicle parts manufacturer. As a result, the supply of core EV parts is expected to move from the preparation phase to a stage of actual revenue growth.

The automation facilities at the Vietnam plant have been activated, leading to improved production efficiency and enhanced quality stability. Atom stated, "We have fully established the infrastructure required for large-scale supply of EV parts," adding, "The pace of expanding transactions with global clients will accelerate further in the future."

Subsidiary DST, which was acquired in May this year, has been reflected in the consolidated results since the third quarter. DST, a company specializing in processing medium-speed engine cylinders for ships, recorded consolidated cumulative sales of 47.3 billion won and operating profit of 3.5 billion won in the third quarter. Recently, DST also completed vendor registration with Hanwha Engine, securing new business partners and further solidifying its position in the ship engine market.

A representative from Atom commented, "With our registration as a first-tier vendor for a global finished vehicle parts manufacturer, the expansion of core EV parts sales will begin in earnest. Having secured stable sales of ship engine parts through the consolidation of DST, our dual-track growth strategy in EV and shipbuilding is now fully underway."

The company added, "As both entry into the EV market and the recovery of the shipbuilding industry unfold simultaneously, Atom's production, technology, and customer base will serve as solid growth drivers. With the automation of the Vietnam plant and DST's expansion of new business partners, we expect to see substantial performance growth next year."
