Retirement Age Guarantee and Expanded Loans for Employees with Three or More Children

OCI Group has officially institutionalized parental leave for all employees and introduced a new family-friendly policy that guarantees retirement age for employees with three or more children, as part of its efforts to address the declining birth rate and support work-life balance.

On November 18, OCI Holdings announced, "Reflecting the results of the 2025 collective bargaining agreement, we have significantly strengthened our parental leave promotion system and multi-child support measures," adding, "We are committed to fostering a family-friendly corporate culture for the sustainable growth of the company and its employees."

Based on the collective bargaining agreement, the group has decided to institutionalize the recommendation for all employees-including men with children under 18 months old-to take three months of parental leave. In addition, starting this month, benefits for employees with multiple children, such as retirement age guarantee, in-house loans, and childbirth incentives linked to parental leave, will be implemented. To cover work gaps caused by parental leave, the group will provide a separate allowance to employees who temporarily take over these duties. OCI Group explained, "Even in a manufacturing culture with a high proportion of male employees, this policy aims to actively encourage men to participate in parental leave."

The group will also strengthen support for employees with multiple children. Employees with three or more children will be guaranteed retirement at age 60 and will be eligible for housing loans of up to 120 million won at an ultra-low interest rate of 1.0%. The existing childbirth incentive will also be increased. The flexibility of the parental leave system has been expanded as well. An OCI Holdings representative stated, "For single-income households or employees involved in major projects who may find it difficult to take parental leave, we have established an exception that allows the leave period to be extended from 18 months to 36 months."
