These emoticons have attracted high interest not only among local citizens but also among users nationwide, serving as an opportunity to widely promote Ulsan's Bangucheon Petroglyphs.
This emoticon release coincides with the ceremony celebrating the inscription of the Bangucheon Petroglyphs as a World Heritage Site, which will be held at Lotte Hotel Ulsan on November 18.
From 2 p.m. on November 19, the emoticons will be available on KakaoTalk to the first 50,000 users who add Ulsan City's online webzine "Ulsan Metropolitan City (Hello Ulsan)." The emoticons can be used for 30 days after download.
The newly released "Human History Engraved on Rocks" emoticons are based on Ulsan City's character Haeuli, featuring a modern reinterpretation of the symbolic imagery of the Bangucheon Petroglyphs, enriched with expressive emotions and dynamic movements.
With cute expressions and gestures that can be used naturally in everyday conversations, the emoticons are expected to help citizens share the joy of the World Heritage inscription.
A city official stated, "We hope to share this historic moment of World Heritage inscription with many people, and we will continue to promote Ulsan's cultural heritage so that it becomes a natural part of daily life. We also hope that many people will visit Ulsan and experience the inspiration of the World Heritage site firsthand."
