On November 13, Kyungdong Navien announced that it has been selected as an excellent company in the heating appliance sector for the fifth consecutive year in the '2025 Korea Consumer Protection Index (KCPI)' released by the Korea Management Association Consulting.
Leading the heating mat market with its third-generation carbon mat, Kyungdong Navien once again received high marks across various KCPI evaluation categories this year and was awarded an excellent grade. The Korea Consumer Protection Index is an indicator that reflects consumers' perceptions of the quality of consumer protection provided by 267 companies across 44 industries in Korea.
In 2020, Kyungdong Navien introduced its third-generation carbon mat ondol to the market, sparking a generational shift in the heating mat sector that had previously been dominated by first-generation electric mats and second-generation hot water mats.
The third-generation carbon mat ondol, which incorporates Kyungdong Navien's 60 years of heating technology, has addressed a variety of consumer concerns related to heating mat use-such as electromagnetic waves, electricity costs, washing, and environmental hormones-establishing itself as an essential home appliance for the winter season.
A Kyungdong Navien Boiler official stated, "As a pioneer in the third-generation carbon mat market, Kyungdong Navien has continuously worked to improve product quality and service in order to address the various inconveniences and concerns of consumers," adding, "With the third-generation carbon mat, born from 60 years of heating technology, we will ensure consumers enjoy a comfortable and restful sleep during the winter season."
