This forum, hosted by Assemblyman Cho Incheol of the National Assembly's Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee from the Democratic Party of Korea, features Yoo Jaeyeon, Head of the Social Division of the Presidential National AI Strategy Committee (and a professor at Hanyang University), and Lee Seyoung, CEO of RYUTEN Technologies, as keynote speakers. Education supervisors, teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools, and representatives from youth foundations will participate as panelists.

The forum was organized to allow educational institutions and businesses to discuss the direction and practical strategies for AI literacy education, and to explore AI literacy education models that reflect the needs of the field.

In the first session, Professor Yoo Jaeyeon will present on "The Current Status and Challenges of AI Literacy Education in Korea," while CEO Lee will outline directions for private sector innovation through "An AI Literacy Education Roadmap from a Startup Perspective."

In the following session, more than 30 educational stakeholders-including officials from regional offices of education in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gwangju, Daejeon, North Gyeongsang, and North Chungcheong, as well as youth foundations from Seongnam, Yongin, Cheonan, and Gokseong, and teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide-will share their on-the-ground perspectives and engage in discussions on AI education models.

Participants plan to share the latest trends in AI literacy education and, based on these discussions, derive insights to inform next year's educational policies and strategies for each institution.

Assemblyman Cho emphasized, "Education in the AI era is not just a technological issue but also a task to enhance the capabilities of democratic citizens," adding, "Schools, businesses, and the government must all work together to build the power to utilize AI effectively." He also expressed hope that "this forum will serve as the starting point for a sustainable AI literacy education ecosystem."
