Daedong Implements Organizational Restructuring and Promotions to Lead Agricultural AX Transformation

Daedong announced on November 11 that it will actively pursue the transition to agricultural artificial intelligence (AX), and has implemented an organizational restructuring and promotions to strengthen the competitiveness of its existing businesses and accelerate future business initiatives. This organizational restructuring focuses on: ▲ streamlining business operations, ▲ strengthening the function of the strategic control tower, and ▲ enhancing global business competitiveness. In addition, in line with a performance-based personnel policy, individuals with proven capabilities and leadership have been appointed to key positions.

First, in line with the major AX transition, Daedong has established the Business Operations Division to strengthen the organic collaboration system between development and production and to maximize business operation efficiency. Executive Vice President Kwon Kijae will oversee the division, leading both the production and development sectors of the group. From R&D planning, development, and testing to production, procurement, and quality, the entire productization process will be innovated based on AX and managed for greater efficiency. Additionally, a new support headquarters will be established under the division to reinforce on-site execution and enhance management efficiency, thereby further solidifying the business operation system.

To accelerate future business and improve management efficiency, the functions of the Group Management Office have also been significantly strengthened. Na Youngjoong, who has led the group’s growth strategy by serving in key roles from future business planning to R&D, has been promoted to Executive Vice President and appointed as Head of the Group Management Office. Under this office, Daedong has established the Group Strategy Division, which will formulate and execute the group’s AX transition strategy; the Group Product Planning Division, which will oversee the group-wide transition to product AX and AI robotics; and the IMC Division, which will lead the global branding of Daedong as an AI agriculture company. This aims to unify strategy formulation and execution.

In addition, to advance financial and management oversight, the existing Management Planning Division has been upgraded to the Management Planning Sector. This sector will integrate the functions of managing the group’s overall financial soundness, business planning, and performance management, acting as a control tower to coordinate strategic balance and efficiency among business sectors. Through this, Daedong aims to simultaneously enhance management transparency and decision-making speed, while establishing an internal system that can respond swiftly to the market.

Daedong is also strengthening its foundation for global market expansion. To enhance the fundamental competitiveness of its overseas business and pursue region-specific strategies, Daedong has restructured its overseas business operations and established the Global Business Development (GBD) Division. Through this division, the company plans to strengthen country-specific distribution and B2B business, diversify overseas distribution networks and partnerships, and expand its global revenue base.
