Shinsegae Centum City has completed the Christmas display themed 'Musical Wonderland' on November 10, which will be showcased until December 31, officially kicking off the year-end festivities.
The Central Square on Basement Level 2, a space beloved by customers every year for its dazzling seasonal displays, will feature differentiated content such as an interactive area utilizing holograms. With these efforts, Shinsegae Centum City aims to further solidify its reputation as Busan's top Christmas hotspot.
Upon entering the main stage at Central Square, visitors will be greeted by over 20 Christmas trees-including a main tree standing 4.5 meters tall-which is more than four times the number of trees compared to last year's display.
This year, in particular, Shinsegae Department Store has partnered with CJ ENM's musical IP to introduce interactive content centered around the keyword 'hologram' for the first time, offering a unique twist compared to previous displays.
From December 11 to 25, the 'Hologram Wall' will feature actors from the musicals 'Kinky Boots' and 'Beetlejuice' performing musical numbers in immersive video performances. Additionally, two 'Hologram Photo Booths' will allow families and couples to capture special photo moments as if they are taking pictures with the actors, drawing significant attention from visitors seeking a memorable experience.
Furthermore, Shinsegae's own character 'Poovilla' and various musical characters will be arranged in sequence, creating the feeling for customers as if they are standing on stage themselves.
The large media facade and media poles at Hyperground will enhance the festive mood by delivering the message 'Wonder all the way,' wishing happiness for the year-end season.
To ensure the Christmas spirit can be felt throughout the entire department store-including Centum Square on the first floor, the voids on floors 2 through 6, the food market, wine house, and VIP lounge-the spaces have been decorated with brilliant LED lights and Christmas trees, creating a visually delightful shopping environment.
Shinsegae Centum City has become known as a popular spot for photo opportunities, attracting visitors every year with its regular seasonal displays in the spring and at Christmas.
In fact, during last year's Christmas season, when the 'Luminarie' light festival featured a crystal tree and 15,000 LED lights, as well as during the 'Blooming Playlist' spring display in March, the number of department store visitors increased by about 10%.
A Shinsegae Centum City representative stated, "We have prepared this year's Christmas display so that everyone can enjoy a warm year-end atmosphere at Centum City, which is loved for its regular seasonal displays every year," adding, "This year, we plan to offer a new level of enjoyment by introducing interactive content."
