The event, held on November 7, was attended by Park Wansu, Governor of South Gyeongsang Province, officials in charge of agricultural policy in South Gyeongsang Province, directors from the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation and Nongmin Newspaper, heads of Nonghyup affiliates and city and county branches, presidents of agricultural and livestock cooperatives, as well as key agricultural organizations such as the Saenongmin Association, Hometown Housewives Association, Farm Housewives Association, and Young Farmers.
All participants pledged their commitment to actively practice the Nongsim Cheonsim Movement. A candid discussion session for the development of agriculture in South Gyeongsang Province was held with Governor Park Wansu and the attendees, where they exchanged opinions on the challenges facing the agricultural sector and potential directions for progress. In addition, participants united their resolve for the movement's success through a symbolic performance, reaffirming their shared commitment to a sustainable future for agriculture and rural communities.
Governor Park Wansu stated, "I will strive to ensure that more investment is made in various aspects of agriculture and rural communities in South Gyeongsang Province," adding, "I also ask Nonghyup, which plays a crucial role in agriculture and rural communities, to join forces in this effort."
Director Ryu Gilnyeon said, "The Nongsim Cheonsim Movement will become a new turning point for agriculture and rural communities as Nonghyup, farmers, and local residents come together," adding, "I hope this will serve as an opportunity for South Gyeongsang Province, farmers, and Nonghyup to join forces in realizing the public value and social responsibility of agriculture."
