Gwangju City Offers Digital Onnuri Gift Certificate Rebate... Up to 20,000 Won Per Person

On November 9, Gwangju City announced that it will hold a "Digital Onnuri Gift Certificate Rebate Event" in collaboration with the Gwangju-Jeonnam-Jeju Regional Headquarters of the Small Enterprise and Market Service and Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation. The event will run from November 10 to December 31.
During the event period, consumers who make cumulative purchases of at least 10,000 won at Onnuri Gift Certificate-affiliated stores in Gwangju will receive a 10% rebate in the form of digital Onnuri Gift Certificates. The rebate is capped at 20,000 won per person per round, and when combined with the existing 10% basic discount for Onnuri Gift Certificates, consumers can enjoy up to 20% in total discounts.
The rebate is applied in increments of 1,000 won for payments of 10,000 won or more (amounts less than 1,000 won are disregarded). Rebates will be distributed sequentially via the "Gift" function in the Digital Onnuri app, starting approximately 10 days after the end of each round. The event consists of seven rounds, with each round running from Monday to Sunday.
Gwangju City expects that the consumer rebate will encourage the reuse of Onnuri Gift Certificates and help boost sales for local small businesses, including traditional markets and neighborhood shopping streets.
