5% Cashback Until Year-End, Ends Early If Budget Runs Out
Boosting Local Consumption with Up to 18% Discount Benefits
Chuncheon City in Gangwon Province (Mayor Yuk Donghan) has been selected as an outstanding local government for issuing regional gift certificates, securing 1 billion won in national funding. As a result, the city will offer a 5% cashback on Chuncheon Love Gift Certificate payments until the end of the year. The promotion will run from November 10 until the budget is exhausted.
This support is part of an additional government incentive program targeting 33 cities and counties nationwide. The 5% cashback is automatically credited when payments are made using the mobile Chuncheon Love Gift Certificate and can be used at more than 14,000 affiliated stores in the Chuncheon area. With this, citizens can enjoy up to an 18% discount benefit.
The city is working to reduce the cost of living for citizens during the year-end holiday season and to boost local consumption. From September to December, the city raised the discount rate for Chuncheon Love Gift Certificates to 13% and expanded the issuance volume to 10 billion won per month.
Gyeong Changhyeon, Director of Economic Policy, stated, "We hope this cashback will stimulate local consumption and provide practical support for small business owners," adding, "We will continue to actively develop and implement various policies to revitalize the local economy."
