Pocheon City Signs Memorandum of Agreement with GN B Data Center for Data Center Construction and Operation

Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Younghyun) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with GN B Data Center Co., Ltd. (CEO Osangjin) in Sinbuk-myeon on November 6 for the construction and operation of a data center.

This agreement advances the project that has been pursued based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in 2023, and is regarded as an achievement following the completion of major administrative procedures such as securing the project site and obtaining building permits.

Pocheon City entered into this agreement to actively attract promising companies related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, enhance the overall competitiveness of related industries in the region, and establish a foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation to expand local business participation and create quality jobs.

Through this agreement, the two parties have established concrete action plans, including administrative support for the construction and operation of the data center, creating local jobs and expanding business participation, and fostering related industries to achieve co-growth and build an advanced industrial ecosystem in the region.

Baek Younghyun, Mayor of Pocheon, stated, "With this agreement, we hope that Pocheon City will be able to establish an advanced industrial ecosystem based on the data center and lead the development of related industries. We will actively cooperate so that Pocheon can grow into a safe and trusted hub for the data industry."

Osangjin, CEO of GN B Data Center Co., Ltd., said, "We have partially completed the power supply procedures necessary for building the data center, and we plan to begin construction in the first half of 2026 to establish a safe and efficient data center. We will do our best to become a model company that contributes to the development of Pocheon's local economy."

Pocheon City plans to nurture the data industry, a core infrastructure of the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, as a driving force for regional growth through this agreement, and will continue to provide administrative support to develop the Eco-Green Industrial Complex into a strategic base for advanced companies.
