Hallym University (President Choi Yanghee) RISE Collaboration Center held the "Hallym G-Lab@Jeongseon Joint Council Forum" on November 6 at Jeongseon High1 Resort under the theme "Re-recognition of Jeongseon Spatiality."

원본보기 아이콘This forum was organized as a platform for collaboration among local industries, academia, and government to discuss key issues in the Jeongseon region and explore sustainable development strategies. In addition to faculty members from Hallym University, participants included the head of Jeongseon-eup, officials from Jeongseon County Office, Jeongseon Facilities Management Corporation, Jeongseon Urban Regeneration Center, Jeongseon DMO Project Group, and representatives from local institutions and companies.
The event featured three presentations: "Conflict Resolution Strategies for Relocating Funeral Facilities in Jeongseon County" by Professor Yoon Seokgi of Hallym University; "Strategies for the Successful Promotion of the 2026 Jeongseon Donggang Pulsatilla Festival" by Professor Kim Myungjun; and "Development of Stay-type Tourism Content to Enhance Cultural and Artistic Enjoyment for Jeongseon Residents" by Professor Jo Jeongrae. Afterwards, participants engaged in a comprehensive discussion to address local issues, exploring directions for cooperation in administration, industry, and culture.
Kim Myungjun, head professor of G-Lab@Jeongseon, stated, "This forum was a meaningful opportunity to seek solutions to local challenges in collaboration with the university," adding, "We will pursue follow-up projects that link the university’s research capabilities with regional resources to promote sustainable development in the Jeongseon area."
