Pyeongchang County in Gangwon Province announced that the Pyeongchang Green Tour Project Group will participate in the '2025 Travel Show' held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from November 7 to November 9, operating a promotional booth for Pyeongchang rural experience tourism.
At this exhibition, the Pyeongchang Green Tour Project Group plans to present healing and wellness travel products under the theme 'Milky Way Book Pyeongchang, Starlight Healing Journey,' focusing on the images of the Milky Way, starlight, and relaxation, moving beyond traditional rural experiences.
The Pyeongchang Green Tour Project Group has been selected for two consecutive years for the Rural Creatour Support Project, a public contest supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to promote rural tourism, thus being recognized for the excellence and sustainability of its rural tourism initiatives.
This year's flagship product, 'Pyeongchang Feelmureop,' is a personalized tourism taxi service that allows visitors to select their own experience villages and tourist sites to create customized courses. So far, 662 people have used this service. In addition, the group has developed 19 unique Pyeongchang-exclusive travel packages, attracting a total of 1,670 visitors and generating approximately 100 million won in sales, thereby contributing to the revitalization of local rural tourism.
Furthermore, to strengthen brand marketing and promote rural tourism, the group has been actively participating in various events and exhibitions, including the Y-FARM Return-to-Farming and Rural Settlement Expo, the Gyechon Classic Festival, the Urban-Rural Exchange Day Commemoration and Rural Travel Festival, the Heat Hunting Festival, the 2025 A-FARM SHOW, the K-Light Show, and the Farmers' Day Event, maintaining continuous promotional activities.
Kim Taegyeom, Head of the Pyeongchang Green Tour Project Group, stated, "Through operating our promotional booth at this Travel Show, we aim to widely promote the appeal of rural experiences and will continue to enhance the brand value of Pyeongchang's unique rural tourism."
