Kiwoom Securities announced that it will hold the "2025 Kiwoom Hero Championship," a real trading competition, for about seven weeks from November 4 to December 19.
The "Hero Championship" is a year-end finals event that only investors with outstanding performance in the monthly "Hero Regular Matches" throughout the year can participate in. The competition aims to identify the true masters among top stock investors.
The total prize pool for this competition is 600 million won, with the top individual prize set at 200 million won. Including those who qualified through this year’s regular matches, approximately 23,000 participants will compete for the final throne. The 2025 Hero Championship will be divided into domestic and international tournaments. Depending on the size of investment assets, participants will compete for returns in five groups: 100 million won, 50 million won, 30 million won, 10 million won, and 1 million won.
As in the previous year, the "Super Whale Championship," a profit-based competition, will also be held. The Super Whale Championship determines the winner based on cumulative profits. Last year, it was conducted as a combined domestic and international event. Starting this year, it will be separated into domestic and international divisions. Each division winner will receive a prize of 10 million won. Last year, the highest profit in the Super Whale Championship was achieved by a participant in the international stock finals, who earned 2,127,760,000 won during the competition.
There will also be a variety of attractions for spectators. Through "Hero Moom S#," viewers can check the trade details of top-ranked participants every minute (with a 10-minute delay). On Hero Moom 4 (HTS), the trading times of the top 10 investors in each asset group can be viewed as an automated log chart. In addition, the official YouTube channel for the Kiwoom Securities real trading competition, "2025 Kiwoom Hero Championship," will broadcast the trades of top traders with a 10-minute delay every day at 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. during the competition period.
A Kiwoom Securities representative stated, "The 2025 Hero Championship is the largest investment competition ever held by Kiwoom Securities," adding, "It will not only feature fierce competition among participants but also provide a wealth of attractions for spectators."
