The event began with an unveiling ceremony, followed by a congratulatory performance by musical actress Kim Seolhui and a string trio performance by Poenis, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
The Sinhyeon Administrative Culture and Sports Center was constructed with two basement levels and four above-ground floors, covering a total area of 14,384 square meters. It houses a variety of facilities, including the Administrative Welfare Center, Library, Community Culture Center, Youth Culture House, and National Sports Center, all in one place.
In particular, the center was designed so that administrative, cultural, sports, and welfare functions can be accessed within a single building, establishing itself as an integrated daily-life infrastructure where all residents can conveniently enjoy both administrative services and leisure activities close to home.
Mayor Bang Sehwan stated, "The Sinhyeon Administrative Culture and Sports Center will become a new community hub where culture and welfare thrive within residents' daily lives, fostering greater happiness for citizens," adding, "We will continue to do our utmost to expand daily-life infrastructure that citizens can truly experience."
Meanwhile, the city plans to operate the newly opened center as a complex cultural space that not only improves access to administrative services for residents of Opo and Sinhyeon areas, but also promotes intergenerational exchange and revitalizes local culture.
