Heemin Jang made his debut on the KPGA Tour in 2022. In May of his rookie year, he claimed his first career victory at the Woori Financial Championship. Since then, he has not managed to secure another win. Even this year, prior to this tournament, he had played in 16 events without a victory. His only top-10 finish was a tie for 9th at last month's Golfzon Open. He currently ranks 50th in Genesis Points (1,288.6 points) and 59th on the money list (83,193,113 won).
