On October 30, following the announcement of its preliminary third-quarter results, LG CNS stated during a conference call that "the proliferation of generative AI is driving explosive growth in demand for high-density servers and hyperscale AI data centers." The company projected continued robust growth in both domestic and international data center markets next year. Kim Taewon, Head of the AI Cloud Business Division, said during the call, "The current situation, where supply cannot keep up with demand, is expected to persist for some time. As the leading domestic provider, LG CNS is accelerating its efforts to secure an early foothold in overseas markets, leveraging its 'One LG' integrated solutions and global network."
Kim further explained, "In August this year, we became the first Korean company to win a contract for the construction of an overseas commercial data center. We are pursuing a two-track strategy of expanding within the Asia-Pacific region while also broadening our reach to Europe, the Middle East, and the United States." He added, "By building a private data center in Indonesia, we have demonstrated global standard quality, and at 'Data Center World Asia 2025' in Singapore, we showcased our one-stop response capabilities. Based on these achievements, we will continue to strengthen our position and competitiveness."
Meanwhile, LG CNS is also pursuing new businesses, including humanoid robots, the enterprise agentic AI platform 'AgenticWorks,' and stablecoin-based digital asset infrastructure. The company stated, "Through a technology alliance with SkilledAI, we are enhancing our competitiveness in the robotics business, and in line with the legalization of stablecoins, we are in discussions with major commercial banks and other financial institutions to build related IT platforms."
