As the autumn atmosphere reaches its peak, the 19th Cheongsong Apple Festival, the representative festival of Cheongsong, is being held in an even more vibrant and abundant manner, bustling with countless visitors.
The festival, which opened on October 29, is taking place under the theme "Cheongsong - Green Again, Red Again" in the Yongcheoncheon area of Cheongsong-eup, and will continue until November 2.
The festival grounds are crowded with people, as busy as on weekends, and cheerful laughter can be heard everywhere.
On the first day of the festival, October 29, the 28th Cheongsong Cultural Festival was held alongside, featuring a variety of events that blended tradition and elegance, including the Cheongsong Dohobu Governor Parade, the opening ceremony of the Cheongsong Cultural Festival, and the Soheon Queen Memorial Tea Ceremony.
In addition, experiential programs such as the Apple Olympics triathlon, the Challenge-Apple Sorting Lotto, and the Fun-Apple Nanta are drawing large crowds, offering unique entertainment for visitors of all ages.
Despite being a weekday, the area around Cheongsong-eup was packed with tourists from all over the country, making it difficult to find a place to stand, while laughter and music filled the apple-scented streets.
On October 30, the 4th Cheongsong Golden Apple National High School Ssireum Championship will be held, where the athletes' impressive skills and dynamic matches are expected to captivate the audience.
In the evening, the opening performance "Hello Concert - A Good Day" will be recorded, featuring performances by popular domestic singers such as Son Taejin, Nam Jin, Hwanhee, and Lyn, and a spectacular fireworks display will light up the night sky, further elevating the excitement of the festival.
County Governor Yoon Kyunghui stated, "The Cheongsong Apple Festival is an opportunity to showcase the true value of Cheongsong apples through various processed products and apple-based dishes," adding, "I hope you will come with your family, relatives, and friends to create joyful and special autumn memories."
