On October 29, at the 3rd anniversary memorial ceremony of the October 29 Itaewon Tragedy held at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, a bereaved family member is seen strongly protesting to Seoul Mayor Oh Sehoon. Mayor Oh has been in conflict with the bereaved families over the citizens’ memorial altar for the Itaewon Tragedy, which the families set up in one corner of Seoul Plaza in October 2023, and has imposed fines on them.
