Kim Se-young is aiming for back-to-back victories.
On October 30, at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (par 72, 6,536 yards) in Malaysia, she will compete for the title at the Maybank Championship, the third event of the LPGA Tour's Asian Swing, with a total prize fund of 3 million dollars. A total of 78 players will participate in this tournament, and the winner will be determined through a 72-hole, four-round stroke play format with no cut.

After achieving 12 career LPGA victories, she went nearly five years without a win before making a spectacular comeback by capturing the title at the BMW Ladies Championship on October 19. She skipped last week's Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown, a national team event, to take a break and recharge.
Her recent form has been strong. Since June, she has finished in the top 10 in 7 out of her last 12 tournaments. Following world No. 1 Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand, who has two wins this year, Kim is aiming to become the second player to secure multiple victories this season.
Depending on her performance at this tournament, Kim Se-young could also climb the career earnings rankings. If she claims the 450,000 dollar winner's check, her total career earnings will reach 15,639,333 dollars, surpassing Lexi Thompson (15,420,156 dollars) and Nelly Korda (15,516,840 dollars), both from the United States, to move up to eighth place.
