Festival Kicks Off with the Cheongsong Cultural Festival

The Cheongsong Apple Festival, which colors the autumn atmosphere, will open in spectacular fashion on the 29th at Yongjeoncheon in Wolmak-ri, Cheongsong-eup (in front of Hyeonbiam).

This year’s festival, continuing until November 2, will be held under the theme “Cheongsong-Green Again, Red Again,” and is expected to widely promote the excellence and reputation of Cheongsong apples, which have received the Korea Representative Brand Award for 13 consecutive years.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the charm of Cheongsong apples with all five senses through a variety of apple-based products and dishes.

On the first day of the festival, the 28th Cheongsong Cultural Festival, hosted and organized by the Cheongsong Cultural Center, will take place.

The festival will feature a range of programs that highlight traditional culture, starting with the “Cheongsong Dohobu Governor Parade,” followed by the “Cheongsong Cultural Festival Opening Ceremony,” the “Queen Sohun Memorial Tea Ceremony,” and more. In the evening, singers Lee Chanwon, My Jin, and Hwang Yunseong will perform a celebratory concert, further elevating the excitement of the festival.

Governor Yoon Kyunghee stated, “Through this Cheongsong Apple Festival, I hope that the highest-quality Cheongsong apples and the culture of Cheongsong, with its long history and tradition, will come together in one place.” He added, “I look forward to many people visiting Cheongsong and creating unforgettable memories amid the deepening autumn atmosphere.”
