Michael Brennan (USA), who entered the tournament as a sponsor invitee, has secured a direct spot on the regular tour.
On October 26 (local time), Brennan claimed his first career victory at the Bank of Utah Championship, part of the PGA Tour Fall Series, held at the Black Desert Resort Golf Course (par 71, 7,421 yards) in Ivins, Utah, USA. This year, he won three times on the PGA Tour Americas, the third-tier tour, becoming the season’s money leader. He had already earned promotion to the Korn Ferry Tour, the second-tier tour, for the 2026 season. However, with this surprise victory, he has now secured his PGA Tour card through the 2027 season.
Prior to this event, Brennan switched his fairway wood, moving from a Titleist GT3 (15 degrees) to a GT1 (14.5 degrees). The new club, which makes it easier to launch the ball high and achieve greater distance, proved to be a powerful weapon. Brennan showcased impressive power, ranking second overall for average driving distance at 351.1 yards. On the final day, his tee shot on the 12th hole (par 4, 435 yards) reached a remarkable 418 yards. He also recorded a fairway hit rate of 89.29%, tying for seventh place in that statistic.
