The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul summoned former Chairperson Lee as a suspect at 1:00 p.m. on the 27th.

Fifteen minutes before the questioning, in front of the Yeongdeungpo Police Station, Lee stated, "After spending two nights and three days in a 2 to 3-pyeong detention cell, I realized that the police could be used as a tool of power. I thought it was truly dangerous," adding, "Now, when I see the police, I feel anxious and fearful."

Regarding a Facebook post she made in March, Lee explained, "I saw former Democratic Party leader Lee Jaemyung criticize Acting Chairperson Choi Sangmok for not appointing Ma Eunhyuk as a Constitutional Court Justice, calling it a case of flagrant neglect of duty. In response, I argued that if Acting Chairperson Choi Sangmok is guilty of flagrant neglect of duty, then Democratic Party lawmakers and the leader who did not appoint standing members to the Korea Communications Commission would also be guilty of the same."

Lee was arrested at her home on the 2nd on charges of making politically biased statements or engaging in preliminary electioneering through conservative YouTube channels and Facebook accounts between September and October last year and again between March and April this year. After being detained and questioned twice, she was released on the 4th by court order following a detention review.
