By attracting new investment from LG Electronics, a global leader in home appliances, Uisikju Company has once again demonstrated its competitiveness and growth potential as an integrated laundry tech company. This investment was made based on the belief that, in the rapidly changing domestic and global home appliance and laundry markets, collaboration between future appliances and services is essential to strengthen differentiated competitiveness.

The two companies plan to solidify their laundry tech partnership in areas such as global market expansion for mobile and unmanned laundry technologies and the establishment of smart factory (EPC) processes for handling large volumes of laundry. They will also join forces in developing future technologies based on a wide range of customer insights and data generated from appliances and services.

In addition, the companies agreed to cooperate in expanding LG Electronics’ commercial appliance lineup and enhancing customer experience by fully introducing LG Electronics’ newly launched washer-dryer combo products at the Laundrygo smart factory and Laundry24 unmanned laundry stores.

Building on LG Electronics’ investment, Uisikju Company will accelerate its entry into the Japanese market, aiming to create overseas success stories by actively leveraging the global market know-how and network of a major corporation. Cho Sungwoo, CEO of Uisikju Company, stated, “It is highly meaningful that a major corporation with world-class competitiveness and a startup are opening up the vision for the global market together through various collaborations to pioneer the future market,” adding, “We expect this investment to serve as an excellent example of a virtuous cycle of investment and growth between large corporations and startups.”
