HMM Obtains Integrated Certification for Anti-Bribery and Compliance Management Systems

HMM announced on the 27th that it has obtained integrated certification for the Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO 37001) and the Compliance Management System (ISO 37301) from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), a global certification body.


ISO 37001 is a system designed to prevent and manage the risks of bribery and corruption within companies, while ISO 37301 is a system for controlling and managing risks related to legal compliance. Both are top-tier international certifications established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The certificate awarding ceremony, held on the 24th at the HMM headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, was attended by key figures including Choi Wonhyuk, CEO of HMM; Fortis Camprys, Executive Vice President of LRQA Asia-Pacific; and Lee Ilhyeong, Country Manager of LRQA Korea.


To achieve this certification, HMM has undertaken activities such as: establishing ethical and compliance management policies and regulations; holding a compliance program (CP, Fair Trade Compliance Program) declaration ceremony presided over by the CEO; strengthening the identification of mandatory laws and risk management by department; and conducting in-person ethics and CP training for all executives and employees.
