On the 25th, Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province launched fireworks for the future of Yangsan at Hwangsan Park, announcing the "2026 Year of Yangsan Visit" and marking the beginning of a "New Era of Cooperation on the Nakdong River."
During the declaration ceremony, Yangsan City promoted the region's cultural and tourism competitiveness nationwide and presented a new model for intergovernmental cooperation.
In particular, following the two main events, the celebratory "Nakdonggang SiwolAe Concert" was held as an emotional autumn festival where families and neighbors gathered, with many citizens and tourists participating.
At the declaration ceremony for the New Era of Nakdong River Cooperation, seven local governments centered around the Nakdong River symbolically demonstrated their joint vision of "CONNECTED Nakdong River, where joy comes together as one" through a confluence performance. They declared their commitment to achieving sustainable regional development and shared prosperity by building an economic, cultural, and ecological community centered on the Nakdong River.
At the proclamation ceremony for the 2026 Year of Yangsan Visit, citizens and visitors who attended the meaningful event joined their hearts with warm lights. The co-representatives of the "Year of Visit Citizens' Promotion Group" took the stage together, symbolically expressing "Yangsan tourism created by everyone," and a grand fireworks display filled the night sky, reaching an emotional climax.
In the subsequent "Nakdonggang SiwolAe Concert," popular singers Insooni, Urban Zakapa, Kim Heejae, and Lim Changjung delivered diverse and explosive performances. The Yangsan City Choir and the local representative SMJ Dance Team also took the stage, further enhancing the quality of the show.
From the morning, various festivals such as the Yangsan Chrysanthemum Festival and Egg-Ya Festival were held throughout Hwangsan Park, showcasing the city's character as a complex cultural festival where families could stay and enjoy together.
Mayor Na Dongyeon said, "This was a stage of unity with our citizens and a meaningful event that marks the starting point for a new future for Yangsan.
