"Ansan Festa 2025," the integrated festival of Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province, will open on October 23 at Hwarang Recreation Area and Wa Stadium.
Ansan Festa is the city's signature autumn festival, uniting previously dispersed festivals and events held at different times and locations into one major event. It will run for four days from October 23 to 26. The festival consists of the Ansan Street Art Art Market, the Kim Hongdo Festival, the Sports Competition for Students with Disabilities, the Rock & Rak Festa, the Ansan Pet Festival, and the Lifelong Learning Festival, among others.
The festival will kick off with the Ansan Street Art Art Market at Parking Lot No. 3 of Hwarang Recreation Area. This market, featuring participation from domestic and international street artists and professionals, will offer a variety of exchange programs, including promotional booths for performance groups, the ASAM Forum, and invited performances.
From October 24 to 26, the 6th Kim Hongdo Festival will be held at various venues such as the circular stage, Danwongak, and small performance halls. Visitors can enjoy performances featuring local artists, outdoor plays, Korean traditional music, as well as hands-on experiences like late Joseon-era activities, magic shows, art contests, rice threshing, and traditional games.
On October 24, the 14th Sports Competition for Students with Disabilities will take place at the auxiliary field of Wa Stadium. On the same day, the Rock & Rak Festa will be held at the outdoor stage of Hwarang Recreation Area.
On October 25, the Ansan Pet Festival, Ansan Food Culture Festival, and Lifelong Learning Festival will welcome visitors.
The Pet Festival, held on the west lawn of Wa Stadium, will feature a variety of programs for pet owners and their animals, including a pet sports day and pet etiquette education.
At the inline skating rink and main stage of Hwarang Recreation Area, the Ansan Food Culture Festival and Lifelong Learning Festival will be held. The Food Culture Festival will offer a range of tasting and hands-on programs, such as local cuisine and traditional sauce making.
During the festival, visitors can enjoy a variety of food and beverages at the Joseon Tavern and food truck zone. To reduce the use of disposable products, the city will provide eco-friendly reusable containers throughout the festival. In addition, about 70 flea market booths featuring local workshops and young creators will be operated.
Lee Minkuen, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "Ansan Festa will provide joy and inspiration to citizens and tourists while revitalizing the local economy. We will do our best to make this a festival that both citizens and visitors will remember for a long time."
