On October 22, the Gyeongnam Christian Culture Center announced the recipients of the 7th Gyeongnam Christian Culture Awards: Pastor Lee Baul of Geochang Soman Church in the pastoral category, Painter Lee Jungyeol of the Art Missionary Association in the culture and arts category, Mrs. Kim Jongja of Changwon Milal Church in the social service category, and Pastor Park Jeonggon of Geoje Gohyeon Church in the missionary category.

In the pastoral category, Pastor Lee Baul has spent 36 years in the rural area of Geochang-eup, creating a church and community culture under the slogan "House Church Ministry," leading to the church's revival. Notably, with the motto "Children Are Hope," he has promoted birth campaigns with local residents, building a Christian community in the region.

In the culture and arts category, Painter Lee Jungyeol has devoted 61 years to art studies in the Busan area, mentoring the next generation of artists. Driven by a sense of mission as an art missionary, he has carried out missionary work through art in China and the Philippines. He has also contributed to social service through art by organizing art events in places like Yeongdo International Market in Busan.

In the social service category, Mrs. Kim Jongja, wife of the emeritus pastor of Changwon Milal Church, has dedicated 35 years of her nursing talent to hospice volunteer work. She organized a volunteer group and has long served families in difficult circumstances, setting an example for others.

In the missionary category, Pastor Park Jeonggon, senior pastor of Geoje Gohyeon Church, has sent 589 missionaries overseas during his 25 years of ministry. With exceptional passion for national evangelization and world missions, he has inspired the missionary spirit in the next generation, including young people.

To select the recipients of the 7th Gyeongnam Christian Culture Awards, the Gyeongnam Christian Culture Center formed a selection committee, chaired by Pastor Shin Jinsu of Changwon Hanbit Church, and announced the results after a thorough review on this day.

The awards ceremony for the 7th Gyeongnam Christian Culture Awards will be held on December 2 at the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Mercure Hotel in Changwon.
