Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers announced on the 22nd that it had jointly hosted the "Accounting Issues in the IT Platform Industry and AI-Based Practical Efficiency Strategies Seminar" with the Korea Exchange Accounting Support Center on the 17th at the conference hall on the first floor of the Korea Exchange in Yeouido, Seoul.

원본보기 아이콘This seminar was organized to explain the latest accounting trends and key accounting issues to corporate practitioners in a rapidly changing accounting environment, and to present practical application cases of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies related to these topics. The event was attended by approximately 140 executives and employees from more than 80 IT platform companies.
In the first session, Im Gawon, Director at Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers, gave a presentation on "Checkpoints for the Introduction of IFRS 18 in the IT Platform Industry." The second session featured lectures by Partners Cho Hongrae and Jeong Sujeong on "Finance, Internal Controls, and AI." In the third session, Directors Shin Seungyeop and Jo Hangmin provided case-based explanations on "Revenue Recognition Practices in the IT Platform Industry," and in the final session, Director Lee Changhun presented on "Key Accounting Issues in the IT Platform Industry."
Jae-Kuk Jung, the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) Industry Leader at Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers, stated, "This seminar was meticulously prepared by Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers' IT platform industry experts, and we hope it will be of practical help to accounting and finance practitioners." He added, "Together with the Korea Exchange Accounting Support Center, we plan to develop this industry-specific professional education program into a regular event."
