Jiwon Park, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated that Hyunji Kim, the secretary to the president, should not attend the National Assembly audit. It was reported that Park, who had previously spoken positively about Kim's attendance at the audit, changed his stance because he believed that "the line has been crossed."

On October 21, Park appeared on YTN Radio's "Kim Youngsoo's The Interview" and said, "Until just the other day, I thought she should attend the audit, but if we go along with the People's Power Party's scheme, it would just turn into the same kind of chaos," explaining his change in position.

Previously, in a media interview, Park had said, "If I were Secretary Kim, I would show up and make my case. I think it's fine for her to attend." Regarding the reason for his change of mind, Park stated, "The People's Power Party has crossed the line."

He went on to criticize, "They are making intolerable remarks towards her as a woman, calling her things like 'lady of the house,' even though she is a mother of a high school student and someone's wife." He also pointed out, "They labeled her as left-wing and a leftist because of her civic activism in Seongnam, and even made personal attacks, claiming she was involved in personnel appointments for treasury positions."

In conclusion, Park said, "Currently, she is the secretary to the president, and no one in that position has ever attended a National Assembly audit." He added, "Although I think Secretary Kim should not attend as a witness, if she is selected as a witness by the National Assembly, I would advise her to appear."
