Danal Launches "Samsung Wallet Money" Online Payments via Danal PG to Enhance Convenience for 18 Million Users

Danal, a company specializing in integrated payment business, announced on the 21st that it will provide the "Samsung Wallet Money" online payment service.

Launched on October 15, Samsung Wallet Money is a new prepaid rechargeable payment method within Samsung Wallet, the digital wallet embedded in Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy smartphones. Linked to a bank account, it supports a variety of services such as easy payments, money transfers, and ATM deposits and withdrawals. Users can also enjoy the benefit of using "Samsung Wallet Points," which are automatically accumulated with every payment, for future purchases.

With this, Danal has achieved another milestone, following its exclusive provision of "Samsung Pay Offline Mobile Payment" in 2019, by being the first to offer Samsung Wallet Money online payments. Leveraging its accumulated operational know-how and payment and security infrastructure, Danal plans to continue serving as a safe and convenient bridge between consumers and online merchants.

Currently, Danal-Samsung Wallet Money payments can be used at major online shopping malls, low-cost carrier airlines, and Samsung Wallet’s gift-giving service, with the list of partner merchants expected to expand continuously.

A Danal representative stated, "This year, for the first time ever, the daily average usage of prepaid services in Korea has surpassed 1 trillion won, showing rapid growth. Danal’s own and affiliated services are also actively expanding in the market," adding, "We will collaborate in various ways to ensure that the new money and points service of Samsung Wallet, which is used by more than 18 million people, becomes the center of the prepaid market."
