원본보기 아이콘According to the women's weekly world golf rankings announced on October 20 (local time), Kim earned 4.18 points, jumping eight spots from 21st last week. She accumulated these points by winning the BMW Ladies Championship (total prize money of 2.3 million dollars) on the LPGA Tour, which concluded the previous day at Pine Beach Golf Links (par 72) in Haenam, Jeonnam. This marks her 13th career victory and her first win in about five years since the Pelican Championship in November 2020. Among Korean players, she now holds the second-highest world ranking, following Kim Hyojoo, who is ranked 8th.
Atthaya Thitikul (Thailand), Nelly Korda (USA), Lee Minjee (Australia), Lydia Ko (New Zealand), and Charley Hull (England) maintained their positions in the top five. Among Korean players, Yoo Haeran is ranked 14th, Choi Hyejin 21st, Ko Jin-young 22nd, Kim Arim 27th, Hwang Yoomin 34th, and Yoo Hyunjo 35th. Lee Yoolin, the winner of the KLPGA Tour's SangSangin·Hankyung Wownet Open, soared 156 spots to reach 195th in the world rankings.
