He accumulated these points by winning The Charity Classic on the Korea Professional Golfers’ Association (KPGA) Tour, held the previous day at Seowon Valley Country Club (par 72) in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, with a total prize fund of 1 billion won. This marks his second career victory since the KPGA Championship in June 2023, and he took home a winner’s prize of 200 million won.
There were no changes at the top of the rankings as there was no PGA Tour event in the United States. Scottie Scheffler (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), and Xander Schauffele (USA) maintained their positions in the top three. Tommy Fleetwood (England), who won the DP World Tour Indian Championship, also held onto fifth place in the world rankings. Among Korean players, Im Sungjae ranked highest at 36th, followed by Kim Siwoo at 64th, An Byeonghun at 72nd, and Kim Juhyung at 86th.
