With this victory, he has climbed from 94th to 25th in the Race to Dubai points ranking, securing his place in both the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and the DP World Tour Championship, which will be held in November.
After securing his win, Fleetwood celebrated on the green by hugging his 8-year-old son Frankie. He shared, "Last week, my son said, 'I've never seen you win in person,'" explaining the story behind their embrace. Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), who also competed in this tournament, finished tied for 26th place with an 11-under-par 277.
Starting October 23, the DP World Tour will co-host the Genesis Championship (total prize fund of 4 million dollars) with the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour at Woojeong Hills Country Club in Cheonan, Chungnam.
