The “Hoaimsa-ro Class,” following the first half program held in June, is an experiential event where participants can follow the stories of those who once walked the Hoaimsa Temple Site, experiencing spaces of daily life, spiritual practice, and relaxation.

The program consists of three parts: ▲“A Day at Hoaimsa,” ▲“Hoaimsa Practice,” and ▲“Hoaimsa Forest-cation.”

“A Day at Hoaimsa” is a storytelling exploration program where participants tour the Hoaimsa Temple Site with a children’s story narrator and imagine a day in the life of a young Buddhist monk.

“Hoaimsa Practice” is an experiential program that connects the stories of King Taejo Lee Seonggye, who once stayed at Hoaimsa, and the tale of “Cheongpodo” (green grapes), as well as temple spaces related to food such as Hyangjeokjeon and Goru. Participants will make green grape cupcakes as part of the experience.

“Hoaimsa Forest-cation” is a family healing forest experience held on Cheonbosan Mountain, which surrounds Hoaimsa. Participants can enjoy the atmosphere of old resting places once frequented by travelers.

Citizens who wish to participate can search for “Culture With You Thebom” on Naver, then select the program name, date, and session in the reservation system to apply.

A Yangju City official stated, “This program will provide citizens with an opportunity to directly see and feel the historical value and cultural charm of the Hoaimsa Temple Site. We will continue to promote programs utilizing national heritage to raise awareness of local heritage and to make Yangju a city where history and culture are alive.”
