The Wooyang Foundation organized the "Red Days Without Gaps" initiative to address meal shortages among the elderly caused by the extended holiday period from October 3 to October 9, providing alternative meals through Dongnae-gu Senior Welfare Center.

In line with the purpose of this program, Dongnae-gu Senior Welfare Center selected recipients among local seniors who face financial difficulties and are unable to secure meals during the holidays, delivering alternative meals to them.

This initiative went beyond simply delivering alternative meals. It also included emotional support through message cards and phone calls from welfare center staff, the distribution of safety rule cards to help ensure safety during the long holiday, and information about hospitals available for treatment and emergency contact numbers during the holiday period.

One elderly recipient who received the holiday alternative food products said, "I was worried about meals during the long holiday, but now I can spend the holidays without any concerns," expressing a bright smile.

Jung Jihee, Director of Dongnae-gu Senior Welfare Center, stated, "Through this support program, we were able to ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for the elderly. It was a warm experience where we could learn about their difficulties and find solutions through communication. We will continue to expand practical support for low-income seniors by fostering smooth cooperation with external organizations such as the Wooyang Foundation's 'Red Days Without Gaps' program."
