Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmoon) announced on the 14th that it will host a variety of events, including a subway fare payback event for citizens, to ensure the successful hosting of the 22nd Gwangju Chungjang Festival of Memories, which will be held for five days starting on the 15th.

On the 17th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the corporation will operate a “Public Transportation Information Booth” inside Geumnamro 4-ga Station. Citizens who visit the festival site using the subway will receive a free transportation card preloaded with 2,000 won.

In addition, the corporation will launch a promotional campaign for the “Gwangju G-Pass,” a Gwangju-style public transportation support program, encouraging citizens to participate in transforming Gwangju into a “Great Public Transportation City.” Visitors can enjoy a variety of instant events, such as a roulette game, and receive souvenirs, making the experience enjoyable for all.

Furthermore, as large crowds are expected in the Geumnamro and Chungjang-ro areas during the festival period, the corporation will implement comprehensive safety measures for each sector to ensure the safety of all passengers.

President Cho Ikmoon stated, “By using public transportation, you can enjoy the festival without worrying about road congestion or parking. I hope everyone enjoys a relaxing and happy autumn at Chungjang Festival, one of the region’s signature attractions.”
