Gyeonggi Province to Host Video Contest to Raise Awareness of Addiction Issues Including Drugs

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Provincial Integrated Addiction Management Support Center will host the "2025 Addiction Prevention Video Contest."

This contest is designed to raise awareness of the dangers of the four major addictions-alcohol, drugs, gambling, and the internet-among all residents of the province, and to promote a culture of prevention.

The contest, held under the theme of "Prevention and Awareness Improvement of Addiction Issues," will accept submissions in both short-form and long-form video content formats.

Those wishing to participate should upload their videos online, submit the link, and send the application form via email (gcamc@naver.com) by October 31. The winning entries will be selected through expert review and are scheduled to be announced on the Gyeonggi Provincial Integrated Addiction Management Support Center website (gcamc.co.kr) in November.

Some of the winning entries will be used in Gyeonggi Province's promotional campaigns for drug addiction prevention.

Further details about the contest can be found on the Gyeonggi Provincial Integrated Addiction Management Support Center website (gcamc.co.kr).

Park Inhee, Director of Mental Health at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Short but impactful video content is the optimal format for raising awareness about the dangers of addiction," adding, "We hope to see many creative entries that can heighten vigilance regarding addictions such as alcohol and drugs and help spread a culture of prevention."
