"Residents in Nearby Areas Should Exercise Caution"

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 occurred at 11:49:39 a.m. on October 8, 2025, in an area located 17 kilometers east of Okcheon County, North Chungcheong Province.


The epicenter was at latitude 36.28 degrees north and longitude 127.76 degrees east, with a depth of 9 kilometers.

The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Residents in areas near the epicenter may feel the tremors," and advised, "Please pay attention to safety."
