Pledges to Enhance Urban Administration Services for Citizens
Gwangju City announced on October 4 that Seongjun Kim, an official (Grade 6 Facility) in the Urban Planning Division of the Urban Space Bureau, has recently passed the 136th Urban Planning Engineer Examination.
The Urban Planning Engineer qualification is the highest national technical certification in the field of urban planning and is awarded to individuals with advanced expertise and practical experience.
Since 2022, Kim has been responsible for the establishment and revision of district unit plans in Gwangju City. Believing that in-depth expertise is essential for urban planning work closely related to citizens' daily lives, he has dedicated himself to obtaining this qualification.
With this achievement, Kim now holds a total of three engineer certifications, including the Architectural Construction Engineer (128th) and Construction Safety Engineer (129th), thereby acquiring integrated expertise that spans urban planning, construction, and safety.
Kim stated, "Based on my professional expertise, I hope to establish rational urban plans that citizens can truly experience and contribute to the development of Gwangju."
