On October 1, Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (headed by Lee Sangwook) carried out a joint environmental cleanup volunteer activity in the Jang-an-eup area as part of the "Korea Renewal Campaign" to celebrate Chuseok.
The "Korea Renewal Campaign" is an environmental cleanup movement organized nationwide by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety ahead of the Chuseok holiday and the APEC Summit. For this activity, Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters employees, including Director Lee Sangwook, formed a volunteer group and participated in the event.
The volunteers collected trash along the coastlines of Gilcheon Village and Wollae Village, helping to create a clean and festive atmosphere in the villages ahead of the holiday. Despite the hot weather and high humidity, they carefully cleaned every corner of the designated areas, earning positive responses from local residents.
Director Lee Sangwook stated, "We organized this event so that residents can welcome Chuseok with a sense of abundance in a clean environment," and added, "Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters will continue to engage in various sharing activities as a reliable partner to the local community."
