Kwon Wontak, the new director of the Wolsong Nuclear Power Headquarters at Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, officially began his duties on October 2.
Director Kwon stated, "My top priorities will be the safe operation of nuclear power plants and building trust with the local community," adding, "I will do my utmost to make the Wolsong Nuclear Power Headquarters an organization trusted by both the public and local residents."
Born in 1968, Kwon Wontak joined Korea Electric Power Corporation in 1993 and has held key positions such as professor at the Wolsong Education and Training Center, head of the Power Operation Office in the Power Generation Division, and director of the Nuclear Power Plant Post-Management Office.
Kim Joungho, former director of the Planning and Management Office at the Central Research Institute, has been appointed as the new director of external cooperation at the Wolsong Headquarters.
