This year's Chuseok holiday stretches up to ten days. In anticipation of this golden holiday, terrestrial broadcasters, cable channels, general programming channels, and online video services (OTT) have all announced special lineups. From live stage performances and legendary variety shows to sports and educational pilots, as well as drama marathons, the programming is designed to cater to the preferences of the whole family. The competition for prime-time viewership is especially fierce. MBC is featuring concerts by C'est Si Bon and Lee Seunghwan, KBS is highlighting Cho Yongpil's stage, and SBS is presenting Lim Youngwoong's concert.

According to industry sources on October 2, MBC will air the "2025 Chuseok Special Idol Star Athletics Championships," celebrating its 15th anniversary, for three consecutive days from the 6th to the 8th. A record-breaking total of 61 teams and 374 idols will participate. On the 3rd and 8th, a new pilot variety show, "National No.1," where regional specialties compete in a Champions League format, will be broadcast. Additionally, spin-off "What Are You Doing, Bro?" from "Hangnim What Are You Doing?," "C'est Si Bon: The Last Concert," and "Lee Seunghwan 35th Anniversary Concert: Heaven" will also be featured for viewers.

SBS has scheduled a new pilot variety show, "My Too Prickly Manager - Secretary Jin," for the 3rd. This program reveals behind-the-scenes stories of celebrities from the perspective of their managers. On the 4th, the live performance of singer Lim Youngwoong's "Lim Youngwoong Recital (RE:CITAL)" will be broadcast on TV for the first time, running for about three hours. On the 8th and 9th, a two-part documentary, "New Old Boy," which follows director Park Chanwook's 33-year career, will air.

KBS is putting the spotlight on "King of Singers" Cho Yongpil. "Cho Yongpil, This Moment Forever," his first solo stage in 28 years since "Big Show," will air on the 6th, featuring 28 songs performed at his recent Gocheok Sky Dome concert. A prequel episode will be released on the 3rd, offering behind-the-scenes stories of the concert, and on the 8th, a behind-the-scenes documentary, "Record of That Day," will air, completing a three-part grand project.
