BNK Kyongnam Bank announced on October 1 that it had conducted a "Nationwide Large-Scale Cleaning Campaign" in line with Korea's National Refurbishment Week.
The Nationwide Large-Scale Cleaning Campaign was organized to create a clean country and living environment ahead of Chuseok, Korea's major traditional holiday, and the international event, the 2025 APEC Summit.
President Kim Taehan, the bank's executives, and about 100 employees from headquarters formed teams and carried out environmental cleanup activities around the BNK Kyongnam Bank headquarters and Seokjeon Market.
In particular, they focused on residential areas with poor living conditions and the surroundings of Seokjeon Market, collecting litter scattered throughout the area and exchanging warm greetings with local residents.
The participating employees wore sashes bearing the phrases "Korea National Refurbishment Week," "A Bountiful and Abundant Chuseok," and "Successful Hosting of APEC 2025 KOREA" as they took part in the nationwide cleaning campaign.
At the same time, all employees from the Central, Ulsan, and Western Metropolitan Business Groups also conducted environmental cleanup activities near each branch or at nearby traditional markets.
President Kim Taehan stated, "I hope local residents will enjoy a bountiful Chuseok with their beloved families in a clean environment. I also look forward to the successful hosting of the 2025 APEC Summit, which will enhance the nation's brand value and prestige. BNK Kyongnam Bank will continue to promote love-sharing activities for the local community in the future."
Meanwhile, BNK Kyongnam Bank plans to encourage volunteer activities separately from the Nationwide Large-Scale Cleaning Campaign, so that employees can voluntarily participate in environmental cleanup activities in their hometowns and nearby areas during the Chuseok holiday period.
