The Gyeonggi Province Fire and Disaster Headquarters will maintain a seamless emergency response system throughout the Chuseok holiday period.

The headquarters announced on October 1 that Choi Yongcheol, Head of the Fire and Disaster Headquarters, held a video conference with fire station chiefs in the province on September 30 ahead of the Chuseok holiday, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a strong response posture to protect the safety of residents.

The meeting was held via video conference in the headquarters’ video conference room in Paldal-gu, Suwon, with the participation of the chiefs of 36 fire stations in the province, including the Northern Headquarters and directly affiliated agencies.

During the meeting, Choi Yongcheol, Head of the Gyeonggi Province Fire and Disaster Headquarters, shared a recent fire incident at the National Information Resources Service and reviewed the province’s response system. He also communicated cooperation measures to prepare for various disasters during the Chuseok holiday, including fires, rescues, and emergency medical services.

Choi Yongcheol stated, "Our mission is to ensure that every resident experiences an 'ordinary day,'" adding, "We will do our utmost to fulfill our responsibilities so that residents can enjoy a safe and comfortable Chuseok holiday."
